Frederick EngelsHe made an invaluable contribution to elaborate the dialectics of materialist philosophy, political economy and scientific communism.

Engels always looked up to Marks as his mentor and they shared a very unique working relationship. He gave up German nationalism and was happy with his father’s well-to-do business. Later, he devoted his life fighting for the rights of the working class and for the realization of Marx’s plans of Communism.

He developed a great interest in ethnology in order to attack social convention with arguments that demonstrated the relativity of social values and justice.

Lenin, the Soviet leader characterized Engels as : "It is impossible to understand Marxism and to propound it fully, without taking into account all the works of Engels." He also said, "the name and life of Engels should be known to every worker."

In the later years of his life, he blended dialectical Materialism. He also worked with great enthusiasm to expand the meaning of Marx’s terminology and ideology. Until his death, Engels remained the exclusive executor of Marx’s ideology and philosophy of social reconstruction.

He passed away on August 5, 1895.
