Around the 14th 15th century, the eastern part of the world, rich in culture
and finance was known as Hindustan (India). To trade with Hindustan
was a matter of pride for other countries. The temples studded with
jewels and plated with gold was a common sight in those days. Many
rulers invaded and looted these treasures. There were rulers who invaded
and established their rule in Hindustan. The most lasting of all these
rulers were the Mughals. The only person who fought against the Mughals
was Shivaji a staunch Hindu from Deccan. |
