  • Dalai Lama - The Dalai Lamas of Tibet are unique in the sense that there has been nobody like them. For last 300 years, not only have they been the rulers of the their country on the religious fronts, but on the secular fronts also.

  • Jesus Christ - The year and place of Jesus' birth are uncertain. Mark and John say nothing about that. The only source for that is the widely divergent birth and childhood legends in Mathew 1 and 2, where Jesus' birth and early lot are set in the time of Herod I and the change of regime (4 BC), and the narrative of Luke, which links Jesus' birth with the first registration in the town of Bethlehem in Judaea, under the Emperor Augustus (AD 6).

  • Lord Buddha - Buddha was born in a Hindu family, which nurtured him with the Hindu culture and way of life. The customs, traditions and the intricacies of Hinduism moved him definitely – not towards, but away from them.

  • Mahavir - The ‘SANSKRIT’ root ‘Ji’ or ‘Jay’ means to win or to conquer. ‘Jain’ means one who is a conqurer, not of an empire but of passions such as ANGER, ATTACHMENT, AVARICE and PRIDE which are our real enemies.

  • Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu - The age in which Chaitanya Mahaprabhu took birth can be termed as a great revolutionary period.

  • Shri Raman Maharshi - Madurai, the famous city in Tamil Nadu, has held immense importance in the history of India. Called the ‘city of temples’, it stands immaculately surrounded by legends and stories of great saints and rulers of the bygone era.

  • Sri Aurobindo - "To write my biography is impossible…Not only in my case but in that of poets, philosophers and yogis…" said Sri Aurobindo.

  • Swami Vivekanand - Swami Vivekanand was born in Calcutta on January 12, 1863 on the holy day of Makar Sankranti. His father, Viswanath Datta was a prominent lawyer of Calcutta and his mother, Bhuvaneshwari Devi was a very cultured woman.
